Ever dreamt of becoming the modern-day Steve McQueen? The king of cool gave us some of the most iconic images ever seen on 2 wheels. From the topless wheelie on the cover of Sports Illustrated riding the Swedish Husky to the escape jump in a small movie called The Great Escape riding the Triumph TR6 (before you call us on a technicality, yes that was Bud Ekins.) Mcqueen has, at some point, inspired us all to channel our inner movie star in one shape or another.

First the Triumph. The 2021 TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 1200 'STEVE MCQUEEN’ is 1 of only 1000 inspired by the TR6 Trophy made famous by the 1960 blockbuster. The bike is based on Triumphs Scrambler 1200 XE and is as capable as they come when it comes to technical riding - if you need proof, just search ‘Guy Martin recreates Great Escape Jump’ on YouTube. Along with the performance the bike pays homage to the original with unique design cues such as Competition Green paintwork with hand-painted gold coach lining, brushed knee pads, and a 1960’s era tank decal.

The 2018 HUSQVARNA VITPILEN 701 CUSTOM pays no homage too McQueen directly, but we like to think this is what he would be riding today. A less traditional take on a café racer / naked bike and unfortunately discontinued in 2021, the 701 is a modern 700cc road eater with futuristic styling tweaks courtesy of Gas&Retro. The bike on offer is 1 of only 11 and really is a statement finished in yellow with red details……. Hold on…… We are just off to bid on it…..
