Launched with a Royal Albert Hall concert, the charity auction at Christie’s that included a replica Aston Marin DB5, Q’s The World Is Not Enough jet boat and Spectre Agent Primo’s bionic eyeball from No Time To Die and the reveal of the purpose-built 18,000sqft ‘Sean Connery Stage’ at Pinewood Studios.
The 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M in stainless steel and the bezel and dial of the watch are both made from blue anodized aluminium, the dial features laser-engraved waves inspired by the Omega Seamaster worn by James Bond in 1995’s GoldenEye. The usual inverted triangle indicator at the top of the bezel has been replaced with a “60” to mark the anniversary. The 60 at the top of the bezel and the hour had have a bright green loom whilst the rest of the watch is light blue.
The iconic movie opening sequence, featuring Bond in silhouette and spinning gun barrel, plays out on the caseback, beneath a sapphire crystal decorated with micro-structured metallisation. The “moiré” effect animation is linked to the spinning of the lollipop seconds hand.
The brushed stainless steel bracelet is the same elegant mesh style as Bond’s titanium watch in the No Time To Die movie.
